Extracurricular Activities - Silambam, Karate, Yoga, Arts & Music

At PERI, every student will spend a significant portion of their school day engaged in yoga or exploring Indian music and arts. Our teaching staff will comprise not only math, science, and language arts teachers but also professional instructors in yoga, music, arts, and dance. Students will strike a balance between academics and immersive experiences in various Indian music, art, and dance forms. PERI takes pride in our rich Indian cultural heritage and is committed to sharing it with our students to foster creative and enthusiastic minds.


Silambam in PERI School

Silambam is a traditional Indian martial art that originated in Tamil Nadu. Silambam classes help students develop physical fitness, flexibility, and stamina. It improves concentration, discipline, and self-confidence among students. Learning Silambam teaches self-defence skills and quick reflexes. It helps students understand and respect Indian culture and heritage. Regular practice builds coordination, balance, and body control. Silambam encourages mental strength and focus along with physical strength.


Karate in PERI School

Karate helps students believe in themselves and face challenges bravely. Regular practice teaches discipline, focus, and respect for rules. Karate improves strength, flexibility, balance, and overall health. Students learn basic techniques to protect themselves in unsafe situations. Karate training improves attention and mental alertness. Students at PERI School learn respect for teachers, elders, and classmates. Physical activity helps children stay calm and emotionally balanced. Karate builds courage, confidence, and leadership qualities.
